History of our organization

Bedford Embraces Diversity was formed in 2014 as a task force of concerned citizens at the invitation of Superintendent of Schools Jon Sills, in response to incidents of anti-Semitism.  The population in Bedford is diverse, and our belief is that inclusion and acceptance should be extended to all residents, regardless of race, religion, disability, lifestyle, gender orientation, military, or cultural status. We denounce all acts of bullying, hate, and violence towards any individual or group because of visible or invisible differences.

Bedford Embraces Diversity is supported, in part, by a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency, supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
